Kettle Gryp (Product Review)

Kettle Gryp (Product Review)

Kim Knapp

I’m always amazed at people creativity who get an idea and go for it. The more basic and uncomplicated the gadget, I’m thinking to myself, duh, why didn’t I think of that? Recently a friend gifted me a nifty, cool, helpful gadget for our gym. I took one look at it and said to myself, with a chuckle, duh, why didn’t I think of that?

Here’s our review of the Kettle Gryp.

Daniel Sheppard and Andrew Martin created this nifty, cool gadget. They presented their product, Kettle Gryp, to the sharks in season 13, episode 13 of “Shark Tank .”The Kettle Gryp is a device that turns a dumbbell into a kettlebell.

The dumbbell and Kettlebell are not the same. Dumbbells have the weight evenly distributed on either side with the grip in the middle, for one hand. The Kettlebell weights the grip, and the grip is wide to accommodate a two-hand grip. If you go to most gyms, you will see a full rack of kettlebells and dumbbells. The Kettle Gryp saves you space and money! You won’t need that rack of kettlebells cluttering your home gym.

The first time I used the Kettle Gryp was 34 degrees outside. Our home gym studio is in an outdoor garage, with no heat. On cold weather days, the grips on the weights are freezing to the touch. I don’t wear gloves, so the ice grip is real and uncomfortable.

On this cold morning, I used the Kettle Gryp for several exercises, and my hands were comfortable because the device is made from high-quality plastic, making it not cold to the touch. The grip is comfortable for one-hand grip and two-hand grip. I had no issues changing out the dumbbell in the Kettle Gryp. The device is sturdy and holds up to a 55# dumbbell.

I must point out three other facts I love. The price point at $34.95 makes it affordable and beats buying a set of kettlebells. It’s made right here in the U.S.A., and it’s lightweight and portable. Toss it in your gym bag or suitcase and take it anywhere!

On a scale of 1 to 10, with ten being excellent, we give the Kettle Gryp a 10!
