Who are these people anyway?
Kim Knapp and John Kilbride are thriving Baby Boomers committed to helping and teaching others how to gain energy and live an active and healthy life—focusing on proper nutrition, eating delicious everyday meals, and strength training to increase lean mass.
Why did they get started?
In October 2010, John Kilbride, all 248 pounds of him, had a mini-stroke (TIA). The event was short, about 15 minutes, but a glimpse of what life could be was sobering. At that time, Kim and John were newlyweds.
During John’s follow-up visit, the head of cardiology told him that if he wanted a long life together, he needed to exercise and lose weight.
That was sobering. We found our ‘why.’ It was time to get started on the journey of taking care of themselves with exercise and eating right.
Their start was humbling; they began with a simple walk in the park; about a half-mile sat down, rested, managed to get back to the car, drove home, and took a nap.
Discouraged; You bet, but they were scared and determined.
How’d they get started?
They began with research, starting with Body for Life, Transformation, and Eating for Life by Bill Phillips, a real fitness expert. Once they understood the basics, they went to the gym every morning and began lifting weights. Slowly they began eating six meals of proper nutrition a day.
They got results within eight months and were both down 40 pounds each. Friends and family were amazed, including the doctor; he couldn’t believe it; which boosted their confidence.
Best of all, they felt better, had more energy, and began to lead a very active life.
Their impressive results gave Kim the encouragement she needed to become a student. She personally studied and trained with Bill Phillips. In fact, she was one of the first 12 certified Body for Life coaches under his mentorship, direction, and teachings.

She learned everything about fitness, nutrition, blood work, and body composition and continues to advance her knowledge and competence.
Kim is an excellent mentor, a considerate coach, and a fair but firm leader.
The Result
After 10 years, Kim and John have maintained their weight loss, gained strength, energy, and have helped numerous people do the same.
They focus on people 50+ and work with each person individually and coach online private teams through social media groups. The K Factor Virtual coaching program is simple. It takes about 30 minutes a day, 4-6 days a week, with one free day to do whatever you want.
Needless to say, it works!
